Laing
Ingredients
40 taro root leaves (dahon ng gabi), chopped
1/2 lb. pork, chopped
1/2 lb. shrimp, chopped
1 t. ginger, finely chopped
Siling labuyo(whole chili pepper) to taste
2 T bagoong to taste
3 cups coconut milk
1/2 cup water
Preparation
Place taro root leaves on the bottom of cooking pot. Put pork, shrimp, ginger, coconut milk and water on top and let boil until pork is tender.
Add bagoong and siling labuyo. Stir well.
Crush siling labuyo, if desired spicier dish. Let cook for another 5 minutes.
